Maison de l’Inspir

La Maison de l’Inspir (roughly translated as “The House of Inspiration”) was founded in the Paris suburbs in 2008 as home to a small community of Plum Village nuns. Ten years later, the sisters had outgrown the small site and so relocated to Villeneuve-sur-Bellot. Since the move, the Maison de l’Inspire Sangha has grown to include monastic brothers as well as sisters.
A small, French-speaking only community, the Maison de l’Inspir Sangha is working to build a meditation hall and parking lot to welcome more practitioners. Events include weekend retreats, Wake-Up retreats for young adults, and even Mindful Cooking Days.
