Support Deer Park
Donations are our main source of support, so every offering is greatly appreciated. Your contribution helps us to keep the monastery open to receive guests throughout the year.
DonateThe bookshop is open to visitors in-person and products can now also be ordered online
The bookshop is located near the circle garden in Solidity Hamlet. When visiting in person, simply walk up the road past the big meditation hall and continue past the dining hall until you are level with the circle garden and pond. The bookshop is located in the second building on the right. Normally we are open at 1:30pm of our scheduled Day of Mindfulness. Please visit following the mindful lunch.
In the bookshop you will find a variety of books published by Parallax Press, our publishing branch. We stock books by Thich Nhat Hanh, and his monastic and lay students. In addition, we carry The Mindfulness Bell — our long-running journal of the art of mindful living.
In addition to publications, you can find prints of Thay’s calligraphy, tea, tea pots and cups, etched glasses, Deer Park themed packs and bags, t-shirts and hoodies, meditation pillows, mindfulness bells, and more.
Two nuns run the bookshop and they will try to prepare your orders as soon as they are able. We pack and ship all orders by hand.
Plan Your Visit
The bookshop is open during retreats and Days of Mindfulness. Learn more about planning a visit to Deer Park during these times.
More InfoFrom time to time we offer multi-week courses related to mindfulness, the teachings and life of Thich Nhat Hanh, and a variety of similar subjects. Please see our schedule of upcoming courses.
